Explorers of the Deep Series

This engaging program will take place over three sessions.

Designed for youth entering grades three through seven, with younger or older youth still welcome to attend, Explorers of the Deep introduces participants to life under the sea in an interactive setting. Activities will include learning about ocean research robots and experimenting with buoyancy, playing a board game to simulate your research robot’s mission, and discovering ocean-related challenges that inspire a culminating communication art project.

Fee

$15 per youth, if the youth is not previously enrolled in the Oswego County 4-H Program. Advance registration is required to attend but is open to all youth — residency in Oswego County is not required.

Philosophy

The best way to learn about ecology is to be out in it! Amboy 4-H Environmental Education Center is a laboratory where youth and adults can observe nature first hand, alone or under the guidance of one of the Center’s Environmental Educators. Public programs often feature guest presenters who are recognized leaders in the fields of wildlife management, outdoor education, and botany. It is also the Center’s belief that learning should be fun.
