Healthy Families Lead Specialist

This position will serve as the Healthy Families Lead Specialist for Cornell Cooperative Extension Association of Oswego County. The Healthy Families Lead Specialist will receive screening documentation, contact families to begin engagement, conduct home visits to perform the Family Resilience and Opportunities for Growth Scale (F.R.O.G. Scale) and provide initial referrals for all prospective families. This position will provide initial education to families on topics including, but not limited to: prenatal/postnatal care, child safety, available resources, etc. This position will conduct case conferences with Family Support Specialists to review family strengths, stressors, and needs and will track performance indicators for home visiting staff and work with them and the Program Manager to develop strategies for creative outreach. This position will assist the Program Manager with marketing efforts for the program and will provide supervision to assigned staff in the program. Custodian - Amboy 4-H Environmental Education Center

This position will serve as a Custodian for Cornell Cooperative Extension Association of Oswego County and will provide support to the organization, specifically at the Amboy 4-H Environmental Education Center. Under the direction of the Association 4-H Team Leader, this Custodian will work independently in carrying out routine custodial duties (i.e. clean, dust, polish, vacuum, mop, sweep, building and ground maintenance, etc.) as well as schedule major maintenance procedures (i.e. well and water treatment system care and maintenance, woodstove care and maintenance, etc.) at the Amboy 4-H Environmental Education Center. This position will represent Cornell Cooperative Extension to the general public, community leaders and government officials in a professional manner. Custodian - Mexico

This position will serve as the Custodian for Cornell Cooperative Extension Association of Oswego County and will provide custodial service in assigned areas of the Cornell Cooperative Extension buildings and grounds. Primary responsibilities of this position will include, but not be limited to: clean, dust, polish, vacuum, wet mop, sweep, and maintain floors on a regular basis; empty and clean all waste receptacles, remove trash and recyclable materials; use and maintain assigned equipment and hand tools while ensuring storage areas are orderly and neat; clean restroom facilities daily and supply with sufficient paper products; wash walls, windows, and sills on a regular basis; sweep and shovel snow from stairs and walks to building utilizing powered snow clearing equipment; and keep entrances clean from debris. This position will also perform light facility repairs, replace building lightbulbs and filters, etc. and will perform basic grounds-keeping functions to including mowing and trimming grass for CCE of Oswego owned sites. Family Support Specialist

This position will serve as the Family Support Specialist for Cornell Cooperative Extension Association of Oswego County and will teach existing educational programs and activities for the Healthy Families Program. This position will provide voluntary intensive home visitation services to overburdened families in Oswego County who are pregnant or have a newborn and will initiate and maintain a long-term trusting relationship with families until the infant is school age or enters Head Start. Will promote positive parenting skills, optimal prenatal care, child health, safety and development and will help strengthen family functioning and foster self-sufficiency through an individualized Family Goal Plan. Will provide and conduct screening per program guidelines and will provide services for up to 20 families. This position may provide data entry and management of participant data, requiring confidentiality.
