Creatures of the Night

  • Saturday, September 12, 2026, 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM

This program is open to people of all ages and will focus on bats. These nocturnal fliers can eat up to half their weight in insects a night!

This program will begin inside and conclude with an outdoor portion. Participants will discover how bats can navigate their world in darkness. During the walk through the woods, multiple hands-on learning activities will occur. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of bat roosting techniques and how they are part of the food chain in their local ecosystem. The final destination will be overlooking the pond, where time will be spent looking for any bats flitting about.

This program offers a unique opportunity to develop a broader understanding of these beneficial mammals. Advanced registration is encouraged, as space is limited.

Fee

Just $4.00 per person and up to $12.00 per family.
