Cut Flower Workshop

  • Saturday, October 3, 2026, 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM

This workshop will provide an overview on how to start a cut flower farm, including where to market and sell your product. This program is also open to growers who already have a few seasons under their belt but want more information.

Elizabeth Lamb, Horticulture IPM Coordinator and Adjunct Assistant Professor at the School of Integrative Plant Science at Cornell University, will highlight key considerations when getting started including site considerations and pest management.

Clare Collie, owner of Fernwood Flower Farm, will provide a tour of her farm operation and give a grower’s perspective. Attendees will also learn about the Flower Collective of Central New York and other important sales channels.

There will be plenty of time for questions and networking.
