Oswego County 4-H will be holding an Outdoor Cooking & Outdoor Skills Sparks Club at the Amboy 4-H Environmental Education Center. A ‘Sparks Club’ is a short, 2-4 session club that will introduce youth to the 4-H program and curriculum developed by 4-H educators. Youth will be enrolled as a 4-H independent member for the 2023-2024 year after completing this club.
In this program, youth will develop their skill in outdoor cooking following the necessary information and proper guidance using 4-H curriculum. Youth will learn about fire safety, Leave No Trace, how to choose the right campfire site, how to build a fire, and much more. This Sparks Club may become part of a series of Outdoor Skills programming for youth if interest is high.
Sparks - Outdoor Cooking & Outdoor Skills is available to any Oswego County youth aged 8-18. Registration is required as space is limited. Please register by November 1st at the latest. An adult must attend the first session on November 5th, if the youth is not currently enrolled in the Oswego County 4-H Program.
$15 per youth; no fee for currently enrolled Oswego County 4-H members
