This program will focus on the human senses and how they function in low light settings. Most humans rely heavily on their sense of sight to navigate their world. Going outside at dusk provides a chance to pay more attention to the input from other senses and experiment with vision.
This program will briefly gather indoors before heading outside just after sunset. While on the guided walk, participants will use their senses to experience the gathering darkness through several educator-led activities. Attendees will focus on listening, test their sense of smell, and discover first-hand the quirks of night vision. If the sky is clear, there will be an opportunity for stargazing.
$4.00 per person and up to $12.00 per family. Advanced registration is encouraged, as space is limited.
