Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oswego County, together with New York State Energy and Research Development Agency (NYSERDA) and the Ag Energy NY Program, will be hosting a free in-person event for agricultural producers identify ways of reducing energy costs for residential homes and farm businesses. Topics to be discussed include identifying energy efficiency improvements to help reduce utility bills, learning how to request a free energy assessment for both the home and farm operation, and identifying grant & loan opportunities to help offset the cost of energy efficiency improvements. There will also be plenty of time for questions and refreshments will be included.
Guest speakers will be Gabriel Gurley, Ag Energy NY Program Manager for CCE Tompkins County, and Nick Moretti, Technical Energy Advisor for NYSERDA. The event will be held in the David M. Stern building at CiTi BOCES.
