Join our educator and learn about the different tools and resources available to bird watch during the winter season. We will discuss different smart phone applications, field guides, and the most important tools - our eyes and ears. The group will also learn about resident species and how they are able to survive in the winter, unlike migratory species. We will plan for the group to go on a walk afterwards on the trails to try and find birds; bring your binoculars or borrow a pair from the facility. If the snowload allows for it, snowshoes will be worn. There is no additional cost to rent snowshoes from the facility if you are attending the program.
Only $4.00 per person up to $12.00 per family. Children under the age of three are free.
