Have you ever wanted to sell at a local farmers’ market? Not sure who to talk with or how to get started? Come join Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oswego County as they host a week-long tour of five local farmers' markets in Oswego County. You’ll have a chance to meet market managers, tour the venue and learn the history, speak with agricultural vendors, and discuss the keys to success.

Each tour will last about an hour. This series will be a casual ‘talk and tour’ with Wednesday evening being the kickoff where attendees will tour both the Mexico Farmers’ Market and the Richland Farmers’ Market. On Thursday evening, attendees will meet up to tour the Oswego Farmers’ Market. On Friday evening, they will tour the Pulaski Farmers’ Market. Lastly, on Saturday morning, the group will finish the series by touring the Fulton Farmers Market. Along the way CCE educators will talk about the importance of supporting local food initiatives and how selling at a farmers market is a wonderful way to get started. There will be plenty of time for questions and networking.

This series begins on Wednesday, August 13^th and goes through Saturday, August 16^th. Please park at the farmers market and look for Joshua Vrooman, Agriculture Community Educator for CCE Oswego County. He will be wearing a red CCE shirt and association name tag. Richland Farmers' Market

Meeting Location: behind the Half-Shire building near the new pole barn

Oswego Farmers' Market

Pulaski Farmers' Market

Fulton Farmers' Market

There is no cost to attend this education program. Online register is required. Those that register will receive a confirmation email with instructions, including the dates, times and locations for each of the market tours.
