Learn about breeds of dairy cattle, dairy products, and how to make butter and ice cream by joining this 4-H Sparks Club!

A ‘Sparks Club’ is a short, two-to-four session club that introduces youth to the 4-H program and the curriculum developed by 4-H educators. After completing this club, youth will be enrolled as 4-H independent members for the 2024-2025 year.

Sparks - Cowabunga! is open to Oswego County youth ages 5 to 14 or in K-9th grade. Registration is required as space is limited. Registration closes December 3, 2024. A parent or legal guardian must attend the first session to complete additional paperwork. Children 5 to 8 years of age must have a parent or legal guardian attend every meeting with their child in accordance with 4-H insurance regulations.

Fee

Youth not enrolled in Oswego County 4-H will pay a $15 registration fee. No program fee for enrolled Oswego County 4-H Members.

Why 4-H?

The purpose of 4-H is twofold:

  1. To provide youth with fun hands-on educational experiences that will help them develop life skills such as confidence, leadership, cooperation, and responsibility.
  2. To provide interested parents and other adults with the opportunity to grow through working with youth.
