Beginning Farmers' Workshop

  • Thursday, September 26, 2024, 4:30 PM - 6:00 PM

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oswego County will be hosting a beginning farmers' workshop. Presenters will be Kellie Greene, Senior Business Advisor from the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and Joshua Vrooman, Agriculture Educator for Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oswego County. Kellie will be introducing the Oswego SBDC, talk through the basics on how to start an agriculture business, and discuss some of the key factors of running a successful small business. Joshua will provide a short overview of the cooperative extension system, including some of the educational resources available to beginning farmers.

There will be plenty of time for questions and networking between farmers.

Snacks and drinks will be provided.

PLEASE NOTE!

The location for this event has been changed! Due to flooding in our office last week, the CCE Oswego conference room will be unavailable for the meeting. The event will be held at the Mexico Public Library, 3269 Main Street, Mexico, NY 13114. You can park on the street near the Library or across the street in the parking lot of the Cornell Cooperative Extension office. We will be meeting in the library's upstairs classroom.
