DESCRIPTION:
This program will take place on snowshoes! Be sure to wear winter boots or winter shoes that are flat so they can easily be strapped in, and please dress appropriately for whatever the weather may be.
 	The woods are always different
at night. Sounds seem louder and
stranger, and terrain you know well by day becomes unfamiliar. You might smell more odors as your body tries
to rely on other senses to fill in for reduced vision. Since we spend so little of our time outside
in the dark, it makes sense that we are less familiar with this nocturnal
world. However, this month presents an
ample opportunity to experience nature after sundown.
 	Come join our natural resources
educator for a full moon hike. Before heading out on the trail, the program will commence inside the
Schoeck Building. We’ll brush up on our lunar knowledge, perhaps even
discovering a new tidbit of information. After donning our winter layers, we’ll
break out our flashlights as we explore the woods. A clear sky, and a pair of
binoculars, would make this an ideal opportunity for viewing the full moon up
 close.
This program is open to people
of all ages. Residency in Oswego County is not required.
