2nd annual Oswego County Holiday Farmers Market
The 2nd annual Oswego County Holiday Farmers Market was well attended. Although the weather wasn’t as nice as 2009, many people visited the farmers market. New this year was a cooking demonstration, those cooking were Mark Damon of Maines, Tom Pizzuto of the Greenside Restaurant and Sue Butler of Daddy Ed’s Restaurant.

They cooked up a variety of dishes including; elk (Mountain Ash Elk Ranch) sliders with cheese (Colosse Cheese), ham (Mattland Farm) and scalloped potatoes (Dylan Sorbello), apple (Fruit Valley Orchards) stuffed pork (Mattland Farm) chops, apple (Fruit Valley Orchards) pandowdy with maple syrup (Heritage Hill Farm), Osso Bucco (Dancing Goat Farm) to name a few dishes.


Agriculture entities that participated were Mountain Ash Elk Ranch with their elk meat and products, Ashley Lyn Winery, Dancing Goat Farm with goat meat and soap, Snow Valley Honey, Mattland Farm pork and beef, Fowler Farms offering wreaths, squash and rosehips, Heritage Hill Farm with eggs and maple syrup, Dylan Sorbello with potatoes and onions, Fruit Valley Orchard with sprays, kissing balls, and apples, Colosse Cheese, Rocky Togg Soap Co, Heifercreek Products; jams, jellies and baked goods, Maple Hollow Farm with maple syrup and gift baskets, Salmon River Alpacas with alpaca fiber products.
